How can I register?

Answer

Download the MTV Under The Thumb app in the Android Marketplace or Apple App Store to your smartphone. Start the app, and choose wisely: Simply connect with Facebook or press “Login with your e-mail address” and choose “create new account”. Here you can enter your name, e-mail address and a password of your choice and that is it. All you have to do now is to go to your inbox and find the confirmation e-mail we sent to you. Click the link and you are all set.

Is MTV Under The Thumb free?

In general: Yes. For certain contents you need an upgrade, though. There are three different areas in the app: One is free for all (Free User), one is for subscribers and one is exclusively for MTV Mobile / Generation customers.

Free: The first episode of every season is free as well as watching them via remote.

Subscription (monthly or annual): You get everything that's available for free users plus full access to the whole show library.

MTV Mobile / Generation: When you have a MTV Mobile contract for your smartphone you get the very best from the other access levels plus you get exclusive access to the freshest MTV shows one week before they premiere on TV & Live TV channels. Now isn't that something?

I am a MTV Mobile / Generation customer. How can I get full access?

Answer

You should have your MTV Mobile SIM card in your mobile phone. Please go to SETTINGS and tap UPGRADE. Follow the pink bar on the bottom and enter your phone number as you would dial it inside your country (without country code) in the next screen. Press VERIFY and you will receive an text in the following minutes. Press on the link inside that text and enjoy EVERYTHING MTV Under The Thumb has to offer.

What does "Co-View" mean?

Answer

Co-View lets you watch your favourite MTV shows with other MTV Under The Thumb users at the same time at different locations. Just choose an episode you want to watch and click on the Co-View icon (two persons). In the menu that pops up you can set the time and date for your Co-View. After that you can choose your friends you want to invite for your Co-View. As soon as your Co-View is ready you receive a notification by MTV.

How do I know that someone has invited me for a Co-View?

Answer

When someone invites you to their Co-View you will receive a message by MTV. By opening the message you will be forwarded to an information page. There you can see when your Co-View will take place, who will join and who is also invited. You can decide to confirm or refuse the invitation - it is all in your hand.

I paid for a subscription but I have problems with the access. What is wrong?

If you are purchasing a Subscription you don't have to download anything anew. Your access level will be just enhanced and you will be able to watch all seasons that are available in the app. If you are not sure if the purchase was successful, check your status in your account in your Under The Thumb profile.

How can I connect with another screen to watch videos in MTV Under The Thumb?

Whenever you start a show, music video or TV channel, just press the remote icon on top of the player and follow the instructions. Go to your browser, visit
mtvutt.com, enter the four digits shown on your mobile and you are set to control the big screen from your phone.
